Home Again
Home again! We've said goodbye to the Philippines and hello to the US and we've had a wonderful homecoming. We spent our first week post-mission with our children and grandchildren in Newport, CA, where we had a delightful time doing nothing more than spending time together. We started with an afternoon outing to Balboa Island. We shared a sweet moment reading our mission release letter. The kids, big and little, loved the pool at the hotel. The candy store was a big hit. We enjoyed Laguna Beach ... ... where we watched these three busy cousins pull kelp from the edge of the ocean ... ... and make a "kelp cake." Somehow we still managed to make a game of mini-golf competitive, despite the distraction of four little boys. Only Sterling's ball ended up in the water, with a heroic rescue by Uncle Kevin. Our children surprised me with a Pokemon birthday party. Yes, a Pokemon party is absolutely appropriate for me. We loved spending time with Brandon's fiance...
